Films, television programs and networks, festivals, visual arts or any other arts and culture media that bring awareness to the need for positive environmental change.

The Entertainment + Culture category celebrates that we can enjoy and be entertained even as we are being educated and asked to take action. The category also recognizes the value of media and various art forms as a prominent vehicle to bring widespread change in attitudes and behavior.

What We’re Looking For:

• Message: Is the message both informative and solution-oriented?  Is the message clear and expertly produced and delivered appropriate to it’s format?
• Outreach/Impact:  How was the E +C item promoted?  Is there evidence of how the piece may have impacted people’s views or behaviors?  This may be seen in comments, blog posts, increase in volunteers to the cause or partnerships with other like-minded organizations.
• Behind the Scenes:  Was the entertainment + culture item produced with it’s message in mind?  In other words, did the production of the event, film, art, etc “practice what it preached.”
